Colby Community College will begin offering NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) training to elementary, middle school, and high school instructors in the Spring of 2008. Training is scheduled for April 23, 2008 on the Colby Community College campus. Participants will meet Wednesday morning, April 23rd at Room 107 of the Student Union building. There is no cost for the 8 hour Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) training. Instructors must be certified to teach the NASP program so that students can participate in local and regional tournaments. - Colby Community College is located in the northwest corner of Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Colorado and Nebraska borders. The area is part of the High Plains, sweeping upward to the Rocky Mountains 250 miles to the west. In addition to the main 80-acre campus in Colby, the college operates a 60-acre agricultural center east of the city. Students in agriculture-related programs utilize the college farm as a hands-on laboratory and training facility.
